ABOUT THE FORUM

America’s Investment in Strategic Defense Installations in the Indo-Pacific Region Is Growing
The development of military and strategic facilities in the Indo-Pacific Region is continuing. Admiral John C. Aquilino, the Indo-Pacific Commander stated before the House Armed Services Committee on March 9, 2022 that over $11 billion in new military and commercial construction, maintenance and service contracts will be let over the next 5 years on Guam and the Indo-Pacific Region. Guam and the Marianas as well as other Micronesian islands are experiencing the largest U.S. defense design, construction, supply, and service initiatives in recent history. At the same time, commercial construction and public infrastructure projects created by the American Rescue Plan are creating unprecedented opportunities for designers, constructors, suppliers, and service companies. The Guam Industry Forum 2022 is being held to provide networking and business opportunities for contractors and service providers large and small. Industry and government engagement creates a multidisciplined collaboration that improves America’s defenses in the Indo-Pacific region.
